Abraham Mar Julios is Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Muvattupuzha. His specialization was in the field of Sacred Scripture. He took Licentiate in Sacred Scripture at the Biblical Institute in Rome, and Diploma in Biblical and Oriental Sciences from the Franciscan Biblical Institute in Jerusalem. He took his Doctorate in Biblical Theology from the Urbanian University of Rome. He had been Member of the Theological Commission of the CBCI and Chairman of the Commissions of Bible and Theology of the KCBC. He is still continuing as Chairman of the Commissions of Theology and Bible, of the Syro- Malankara Catholic Church. He had taught Bible subjects in some Seminaries and Religious Institutes. He wrote a few books and published some thirty articles.
