No book on Christology can lead one to encoounter Christ as the centre of one's life. It is only by faith or personal surrender to Jesus that the mystery of God and mystery of the humans and their world will be disclosed. No doctrine can exhaust the mystery of Christ. However, the biblical testimony about him, the teachings of the Fathers and the Councils and other official and authoritative teachings of the Church evoke in us ever new understanding about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. This introductory book on Christology presents the meaning of Jesus Christ from the biblical, historical and theological perspectives. It includes also the Western, Eastern and the Indian interpretations of Christ.
