This book,  An Introduction to Mariology, prepared under the auspices of the CBCI Inter-Ritual Committee for the Text Books in Theology, is meant more for students than theology professors.  The book includes both the Eastern and the Western interpretations about Mary.  The book consists of five chapters and deals with Mary in Scripture, a short history of Mariology starting from the Fathers of the Church to the Second Vatican Council,  Mary in doctrine Mary in different liturgical traditions and Mary in the contemporary context.  Hopefully, this book will help the students to develop authentic theological knowledge.  nourish a maternal love towards Mary,  and the capacity to communicate such attachment to the Christians.
